Obituary of Genesis "Jensis" Mae Samuel
Genesis "Jensis" Mae Samuel was born September 28, 1926 in Darlington, South Carolina to Wilbert Samuel, Sr. and Julia Sparks Samuel.
She attended Bladen County Training High School and Henryton School of Nursing. Jensis was a trailblazer and moved her family to Maryland in 1955.
She established Grace Holy Tabernacle First Born Church of the Living God in Baltimore, Maryland. She was a Missionary and later became one of the first ordained female ministers of her Church's National Organization.
Jensis was lovingly cared for by her devoted granddaughter, Tonita Anderson, who will forever cherish her legacy.
She was the loving mother of the late Barbara Ann Anderson. She is also survived by her daughter, Yvonne Anderson, grandson, Marvin Anderson and a host of other family and friends who are eternally grateful for the brilliant example of her visionary life.
