Obituary of Chawnte' Kiana Randall

Chawnte' Kiana Randall was born 5 June 1977 in Baltimore City Maryland to Madelyn M. Randall (Phillips) and Curtis L. Webster. She left her earthly house for her eternal home on 12 November 2020. As a child she traveled the globe with her parents to Germany, Italy, and England where she experienced many cultures, foods, and languages. She graduated May of 1995 from North Pulaski High School in Jacksonville Arkansas. She attended Marquette University and Howard County Community College where she completed her associate's degree in Healthcare Administration and Management. Chawnte' was a Health Insurance Specialist at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid services at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She married Damon A. Harcum on 13 September 1996 and from that union was born their phenomenal daughter Lauren A. Harcum on 3 July 1998. Chawnte' joined the United States Army in 1996 and was honorably discharged after 4 years of service. Chawnte' was affectionately called Chawney, Te', and Kiana among numerous monikers. She was an intensely brilliant, magnetic, and vivacious person that filled every room with her laughter and effervescent personality. She was NOT to be contained. Chawnte' was a life-long friend and confidant to those who knew and loved her. Her exuberance was contagious, and she exemplified fortitude everyday of her life. The way she lived her life spoke for itself and she lived her life on her terms and her terms alone. Chawnte' was a gym fanatic, an avid reader, world traveler, food and drink connoisseur, theater geek, Trekkie(Star Trek lover), movie buff, melophile, beach bum, outdoors woman, adored dogs, and gardener among many, many, many other things, too many to name. Chawnte' cheerfully disseminated information pertaining to her experience as a Black woman in the Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) community across various platforms spanning numerous media outlets. She spoke at conferences, was featured in copious commercials and magazine publications. In addition to her passions, she was a staunch advocate for the MBC community and a champion for Black women. Chawnte' partnered with multiple organizations including METAvivor- Metastatic Breast Cancer Research, Support, and Awareness , Tigerlily Foundation, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Our MBC Life Podcast, TOUCH- Black Breast Cancer Alliance, For the Breast of Us, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Daiichi-Sankyo Pharmaceuticals, and AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. Chawnte' was preceded by her grandparents Vernon L. Randall Sr., Amos E. Simms Jr., Curtis E. Webster, and Jessie B. Webster. She leaves behind her daughter Lauren A. Harcum, her parents Madelyn M. Randall (Phillips), Rodney E. Phillips, and Curtis L. Webster. Her grandparents Thelma L. Randall (Simms), Emanuel C. Phillips, and Tommie M. Phillips. Her siblings Quenay C. Webster, Valencia E. Phillips, Vincent E. Harding Jr., and Antoine Webster. Her nephews Malaki Q. Parker and Austin L.T. Harding. Her uncles Vernon L. Randall Jr, Marc A. Randall (Towanda), Don L. Webster, Timothy J. Webster, and Maurice D. Webster. Her aunts Sharon L. Randall, Valerie S. Webster (Williams), Sharon R. Webster (Goodson), and Doreen B. Fields. Her partner Chad Corbett, goddaughter Isabel M. Morales, best friends Lamesha W. Critton (Kirk), Monique M. Smith, and Christina J. Lee who are like her sisters and a host of family, friends, beasties, and colleagues.
