We were neighbors with Chawnte when we lived at High Tide Court. She was a friendly and supportive neighbor. She always bought Girl Scout cookies from our daughter, supported Annette when she was fundraising for a community project and was just an overall upbeat and positive person who offered help whenever it was needed. Although we didn't get a chance to know her well before we moved to another neighborhood, she made a lasting impression and a positive impact in the brief time we knew her. We are so sorry for your loss and pray for all her loved ones during this time. Love from Annette, Billy and Elise Varoli

Chawnte' your spirit and memory will last for an eternity. I'm grateful that God allowed our paths to cross at Zapatas and afterwards. I'll never forget how you spoke so highly of your daughter and didn't hesitate to let me know when she was pledging Zeta. You became a true inspiration to many and will definitely be missed! May your beautiful soul rest peacefully in God's arms as I know he was there to welcome you home.

Though Chawnte & I never met, she was doing what she does so well & reached out to me through Instagram after my mom was diagnosed with MBC. She was offering resources, setting me up with support groups for caretaker & in her deepest struggles, when I’d check in on her, she’d always ask how my Mom & I were doing. A force of nature. A warrior who was not shy about her mission. A friend that made me laugh. Love, peace & my sincere condolences to her daughter & her entire family. She sure was a spark in my life, all the way across the country to Utah.

Chawnte,
Cuz I miss you so much. Thank you for being the wonderful, loving cousin you were. Thank you for all your help with letting me know what questions to ask my dad’s cancer doctor. Thank you for the conversations when I felt I had no one else to talk to. We met as friends at the bar (Zapatas) and then soon after found out we were cousins. And you have definitely played that cousin roll to me and my Son supporting us through everything from sports in High School to when I almost lost my mind when he decided to go to College out of state you checked on me every day for months knowing I was struggling with him leaving. Thank you for being the best. I appreciate everything you have done for us. I have never known someone as loving as you always putting others before yourself no matter how you ever felt. I miss you Cuz and love you so much. This hurts but I’m ok because I know you are no longer in pain or hurting. See you on the other side mt Angel. Love you always and forever
