Obituary of Demetria Lynn Newsome

Dr. Demetria Lynn Newsome, age 49, of Pikesville, transitioned Thursday, January 2, 2020. Dr. Newsome was born July 4, 1970 in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Newsome was an Assistant Principal with the Baltimore City Public School System. Dr. Newsome is survived by her loving Father, Mr. Robert E. Newsome, two sisters: Ms. Bethany Newsome and Mrs. Meriel Newsome Askew (Oliver). Calling hours will be Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 2:00PM until 6:00PM at Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD (21133). The Celebration of Life Service for Dr. Newsome will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020, at Epworth United Methodist Chapel, 3317 St. Luke's Lane, Gwynn Oak, MD (21207) where the family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 11:00AM with services to follow. The interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, immediately following services.
