Obituary of Reno McKinney
Reno McKinney Jr, born May 3, 1943, was the 1st born to the late Reno McKinney Sr, and Versey Mae McKinney on May 3,1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
Reno was affectionately known as "Junie" a name given to him by his siblings who he loved looking out for.
Reno was educated in the Baltimore City School System. He worked in the Retail Industry where he later retired after many years of dedicated services.
Reno married Louise Parker, within this union there were three daughters.
Reno enjoyed looking out for his sibling and spending time with his family. Reno was an avid boxer, loved bowling and fishing.
When Reno became ill, he was able to reside at home where he was given the love and exceptional care from his two daughters: Carla and Rosalyn and a very close and dear friend Carl Waters "Tony". Reno looked forward to hearing the voices of his great-grandchildren his "Buddies" and his niece Bonita Ringgold who would always make him smile (Pie) is what he called her. Reno was always surrounded by the love of family until God seen it was time for him to come to his Heavenly Home.
Reno leaves to cherish his memory: his daughters: Bernadette May, Amanda McKinney, Carla Richardson and Rosalyn McKinney; sister: Dorothy Jean; brother: Samuel McKinney and brother: Albert McKinney who preceded him in death. Grandchildren: Chantae Story, Chikita Franklin (Sean), Daria Easter, Cordell Jimmerson, Tomorrae Richardson: 8 Great Grandchildren: Shawnesha Matthews, Tyshawn Bushrod, Ashawnee Story, Brea Bagley, Jashawn Story, Chyne Franklin, Noel Bailey and Sinzell Franklin and two close and dear friends of the family Tymica Satachell and Shinu Tate. A host of nieces, nephews, family and dear friends.
We thank and praise God for the life of our beloved, Reno McKinney Jr.
We thank and praise God for his time amongst us and we who remain are grateful for everything he did for us as a, brother, dad, uncle, granddad, and friend.
