Ms. Eleanor was the first neighbor my family met when we moved onto Chriswell Ct. She looked out for my parents and for my siblings and I as if we were her own kids and grands. From bringing my father fried fish on Fridays to watching us when my parents went on vacation to making her famous lemonade for our annual community cookout, Ms. Eleanor upheld the true definition of the word “neighbor.” Not everyone is blessed to have a Ms. Eleanor. I am so grateful to have had the privilege to love and be loved by such a gem of a woman.

It is with great sadness that I read of Eleanor’s passing. She was a delight to work with. She was always smiling and brought joy to everyone around her. We sometimes disagreed but were always friends. Since I retired I have often thought of her and remembered her wonderful smile and delicious fried chicken. She will surely be missed by many. I loved working with her. God bless Eleanor for she was a blessing to all who knew her.
