Obituary of Cora Emma Jones

Cora Emma Jones transitioned from this life on March 28, 2024. Cora was born on June 2, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland to Sarah and James Jones, Sr. She was one of eight children and was a twin to the late Calvin Eric Jones. Cora was a faithful lifelong member of Olivet Baptist Church in Edmondson Village. She spent her thirty year career in service to others as private duty caregiver. Cora was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and James Jones, Sr., her only sister, Cynthia Tate, five of her brothers Donald, Tyrone, James Jr., Robert Miller and Calvin, and her niece LaSinda Tate. Cora leaves to cherish her memory: a beloved son Quinton Rasheed Lyons, a brother Vernon Howard Jones and a host of relatives and friends. A viewing for Cora will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The Vaughn Greene WEST Chapel, 5151 Baltimore National Pike, Baltimore, MD 21229. On Saturday, April 13, 2024, a homegoing celebration for Cora will be held at Vaughn Greene WEST Chapel, 5151 Baltimore National Pike, Baltimore, MD 21229 where the family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until noon with services to follow.
