Obituary of Louise Olivia Ryan Johnson

Louise Olivia Ryan Johnson was born on September 21, 1928, in Texas, Maryland Baltimore County. She peacefully went home to be with her Lord on March 10, 2024, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the seventh of ten children born to the late John B. Ryan and Velma A Ryan. Louise attended Baltimore County public schools graduating from Carver High School in 1949. She went on to attend several educational institutions earning her certificate as a nursing technician. She was employed for many years at the Veterans Administration in Fort Howard, Maryland where she retired in 1990. In September 1955 she married Herman Brown from this union one son Robert B. Brown was born who preceded her in death. In 1961 she married Rupert G. Johnson who preceded her in death, this union lasted 39 years. Louise was a lifelong member of Stevenson AME Church in Sparks Glencoe, Maryland. She accepted Christ as her personal savior in 1952 under the pastorate of the late Robert C. Lane. She was active in several ministries serving as Chairman Pro-Tern of Stewardess, Communion Stewardess, Secretary of the Quarterly Conference, and a member of the Sanctuary Choir. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 90. She was legendary for her love of photography, always taking pictures of family and friends. She loved gardening, crocheting, knitting, doing word find puzzles and seasonal canning. She was considered the matriarch of the family; she knew everyone's phone number by memory and kept everyone informed. She leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces and nephews, several cousins, one sister-in-law Rev. Willa Mae Gaines and three godsons Floyd Wright, Ken Grant and Floyd Wallace.
