Mel and family my prayers continue to be with you.
Your mom was an amazing person who showed unconditional love to her family and friends .She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
There is a part of me that still haven’t wrapped my mind around her passing but I have many wonderful memories
that will last beyond this time. I will remember how she made me laugh , how we loved eating crabs but what I will remember the most is how she organized other family members together to come to Philly to surprise my mom on her birthday. Barbara was such a thoughtful and giving person and I am proud to have called her my cousin ..

Sending love and heart felt prayers of love to your family. Ms Barbara there are so many fond memories of me growing up at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, You and Mother Christian being apart of my Christian upbringing, you and Sister Edna Christian were the most loving individuals anyone could ever have in their spiritual life. You were such a help to my mom during the time of my grandmothers illness, we will never forget that. You had a heart of gold, never changed always was the same. You were kind humble, had a sense of humor. Im praying for Melodie whom I fondly remember as your beautiful daughter. Melodie if your reading this your mom was everything. Im praying for your heart and we love you. Heaven needed an Angel and god just could not wait.

Dear Barbara, The news of your passing has just shocked me, considering we were just texting each other on Sunday. I have so many memories of and with you that I could write a book. But just wanted to share something heartfelt. Thank you for being that genuine,thoughtful , dear friend and family member with a heart of gold. You were always there for anyone (and especially me in my time of sorrows)with that genuine smile and caring heart helping with anything needed.
