Obituary of Margaret Isatu Vincent

Margaret Isatu Vincent was born on January 25, 1965 in Freetown, Sierra Leone. She was the oldest of five children born to Morlai and Simitie Sesay. She graduated from St. Helena Girls High School, enjoying basketball and volleyball throughout her teenage years. Following high school she worked in many jobs, including distribution for the Herald Guardian newspaper and most recently as a primary school teacher for 7 years. She married Max Gustavus Vincent on December 6, 2003. Margaret loved her family, children, gospel music, cooking, and singing in the church choir in Freetown. She is survived by her devoted husband Max, and by sister Sallay Sesay and by brothers Abdul Sesay, Alimamy Sesay, and Seni Sesay and by children Ramatu Amara (Francis), Abass Sesay and Victoria Vincent. Survived on the Vincent side by Amelia Vincent, Victoria Vincent, Ayo Vincent, Mark Bio, and Lloyda Vincent. Margaret was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a lifelong disciple of her Lord and Savior. She passed away on October 28, 2023 and will be dearly missed by friends and family on her two home continents. On Friday, November 10, 2023, a homegoing service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter-day Saints, 9631 Liberty Road, where the family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with services to follow. The interment service will be held at King Memorial Park immediately following the homegoing service.
