Obituary of Sandra Elizabeth Dutton

Sandra Elizabeth Ewell Smith Dutton was born on November 26, 1958 in Baltimore, MD to the late Alvin Dumah Ewell and Shirley Elizabeth Thomas Ewell. She went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2023 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Sandra graduated from Carver Vocational school in 1976. She graduated from Community College of Baltimore with an associate's degree in Nursing in 1978. She served diligently caring for the sick for 40 years at various hospitals and nursing facilities across the country. Sandra was baptized and a member of Central Church of Christ on Pitcher Street at a very young age. She dedicated her life to serving others and her light touched so many people as a member of Central Church of Christ and Westside Church of Christ. She leaves to mourn her son and daughter, Cevon Smith of Asheboro, NC, Christina Smith of Baltimore, MD and her step daughter, Nicole Dutton of Baltimore, MD. Her brother and sister, Brian Ewell and Tracy Ewell. Also a niece who she raised Tainy Ewell. Grace Spry, Irene Ward, one great aunt, Elaine Harris and step mother, Annie Ewell. Services will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, October 14, 2023, in the chapel at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212. The wake will begin at 10:00 am. The burial will follow the services in King Memorial Park, Baltimore, MD.
