Condolences to Roxanne on the loss of your husband, and to the remaining families on both sides. I've always called him "Beet" and was always polite, kind and gentle soul in this world. He calmed my brothers down ( probably more Gregory than Darrell) often and was that guy who could bring peace into any situation. My best memories of Beet see him in our house with my brothers and others in the neighborhood some of whom played football at Banneker Rec Center under Mr. Charlie Diggs, cutting up with my dad and brothers. Lots of laughter and light hazing of one another was the usual ritual. I join you in celebrating his life well lived and rejoice that he finished the race well.
