Obituary of Marvin Lee Broadnax

Marvin Lee Broadnax, 88, of Baltimore Maryland, departed this life on August 14, 2023. He will be remembered as one who instigated laughter wherever he went. His sense of humor and his ability to engage even strangers in lengthy conversations made him a person who could connect easily with others. Marvin was born on November 23, 1934, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He served faithfully for over 25 years in the Army division of the military, accumulating several honors and medals during his time of service to our country. He was honorably discharged and retired from the Army in 1980. Marvin leaves behind his four children: Tina Martin (John) of Chesterfield, Virginia, Ronald Broadnax (Angela) of Pikesville, Maryland, Gregory Broadnax of Chesterfield, Virginia, and Donna Spencer of Midland, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his niece, Donna Lee Carter of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, as well as 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Lela Wheatley Dausuel, and his brother, Donald Broadnax. In his free time, Marvin enjoyed working in his yard, chatting with his neighbors, and faithfully serving on various neighborhood committees. He will be missed by all who knew him. Marvin's memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and all those whose lives he touched. Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services, located at 8728 Liberty Road in Randallstown, Maryland, on Thursday August 31, 2023, from 4: 00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, with wake at 10:00 AM followed by funeral services at 10:30 AM. The burial will take place at Garrison Forest Veteran's Cemetery 11501 Garrison Forest Road Owings Mills, Maryland 21117 @ 1:00P.M.
