Obituary of Rochelle Juanita Hagans

Ms. Rochelle Juanita Hagans (née Williams), affectionately called Ro' by her family and close friends, was born on May 3, 1957. As the 2nd of 5 children, she learned early in life that education and hard work were the keys to success. By the age of 30, Rochelle had earned 2 bachelor's degrees: one in psychology and the other in nursing. She worked 18 years as a registered nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital, retiring early from the prestigious Marburg Pavilion in 2006 due to illness. Rochelle spent her final years courageously battling these disabilities until she succumbed to them on July 14, 2023. Ro' is survived by her mother, older sister, 2 younger brothers, her husband and lifelong partner of over 40 years, their 2 children, her 4 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Rochelle will be greatly missed, but her memory will always be celebrated. She was an incredibly brilliant, loving, kind, talented, nurse, daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. A viewing for Ms. Rochelle "Ro" Hagans will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD 21133. On Thursday, July 27, 2023, a homegoing service will be held at The Vaughn Greene Chapel at Randallstown, 8728 Liberty Road, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with services to follow.
