Pastor Bobbie Owens, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Pastor Owens was born in South Carolina. He later made his home in Baltimore, MD. Before retiring he had been employed as a steel worker for Armco Steel. He was the esteemed pastor of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church. He will be missed by his family and friends. "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day" (2 Timothy 4:6-8, KJV).
A viewing will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at his beloved church, Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 2613 Ashland Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21205, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
Homegoing services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church. The wake will begin at 10:30 am.
The burial will be held 10:45 am, Monday, May 15, 2023, in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.
