Obituary of Dawn Petice Maye

Dawn Petice Maye was born on October 13, 1963 in Baltimore, MD to Clifton and Melvina Maye. On Sunday, March 12, 2023, after a courageous well-fought battle with cancer, she transitioned to her heavenly home. After graduating high school, Ms. Maye became a member of a new team with wings. In 1983, she joined the aviation division of the United States Navy. Ms. Maye was employed for more than twenty years in various roles for the Department of Veterans Affairs. She will be missed by her family and friends. A viewing will be held Thursday, May 30, 2023, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, from 3:30 - 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Friday, March 31, 2023, in the chapel at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services. The wake will begin at 10:00 am. The burial will follow the services in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
