Obituary of Richard Lee Thomas, Sr.

Richard Lee Thomas, Sr., age 91, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, after a life well lived. A lifelong resident of Baltimore, MD, Mr. Thomas was born on April 24, 1930, to Mary and Cornelius Thomas. Before retirement, Mr. Thomas had been employed at American Smelting and Refinery Company. He later worked as a greeter at Wal-mart. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He will be missed by his family and friends. A viewing will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. The funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Friday, March 17, 2023, at Sharon Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5814 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD 21214. The wake will begin at 10:00 am. The burial will follow the services in Maryland National Cemetery, Laurel, MD.
