Dad,
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say “Goodbye”. You were gone before I knew it, and only God knows why. My heart still aches with sadness, and secret tears still flow. What it meant to love you—No one walking this earth can ever know. But now I know you want me to mourn for you no more; To remember all the happy times life still has much in store. Since you’ll never be forgotten, I pledge to you today, a place within my heart is where you’ll always stay.
--Your legacy, Robert Henry

God’s Garden
God looked around his garden and found an empty place. He then looked down upon the Earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. With the help of his angels, they flew you to your heavenly place. God’s garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best. He knew you were suffering; he knew you were in pain; he knew you would never get well on Earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills too hard to climb. He closed your weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace Be Thine”. It broke my heart to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, for a part of me went with you the day God called you home.
All my love, always—Your devoted wife Barbara

I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I’ve found that peace at the end of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Ah yes, these things too I will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life’s been full of joy. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free!
--Ride Em Don’t Admire Em,
Henry
