Georgianna Parker-Lee

Obituary of Georgianna Flora Mae Parker-Lee

On August 18, 1937, Georgianna Flora Mae Lucinda Parker, was born to Georgianna Parker and John Scott, in Baltimore Maryland. She peacefully passed away on September 28, 2022, after a lengthy illness. Georgianna was affectionately called "Georgie ", by family and friends. Her siblings: Hamilton Scott, Bernice Maybry, John Scott Jr, Catherine Cook, Beatrice Parker, Margaret Culver, Bernard Louden, Patsy Thomas, and Hazel Redditt preceded her in death. Even as a small child, Georgianna, was on a religious quest. Alas she found the TRUTH as an adult and dedicated her life to serve Jehovah God. For 55 years she served as a faithful servant as one of Jehovah's Witnesses up to the very end of her life. She married Leroy Lee, and from this union they had six children. Georgianna had a natural nurturing nature, enjoyed cooking, baking, and always making sure that her family and anyone that entered, was well fed. She was always called upon to make potato salad, coleslaw, and macaroni salad for large gatherings. She never met a baby she didn't love. If you are 25 or older it is very likely that Aunt Georgie held, fed, and bathed you. She was educated in the Turner Station School System. Later she would go on to graduate from, University of Maryland Nursing School. Her specialty was the Newborn Nursery Unit. She worked at Provident Hospital and Lutheran Hospital for many years. She would stop work to focus on her family and later return as her children grew up. Georgianna leaves to cherish her memory: six children, Bernard Lee, Brenda Lee, Bernadette Lee, Benita McMillion, Renee Lee-Kirby (Franklin), Sandra Lee-Williams (Timothy Sr); one beloved sister, Cleatrice Parker-Copeland; nine grandchildren, Bernard Wallace, Bernard Lee Jr, Bryan Lee, Lakesha Walker, Bethany McMillion, Tiffany McMillion, Ariel Washington, Alicia Washington, Timothy Williams Jr; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. On Monday, October 10, 2022, a homegoing celebration for Mrs. Parker-Lee will be held at the Vaughn Greene Chapel at Randallstown, 8728 Liberty Road, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with services to follow.
