On behalf of the entire Coleman family here in Canada we want to extend our sincere condolences to our Cole family with the recent passing of Donald. Gone too soon but know God has everything in His divine play. We may not understand why but rest assure there is good purpose in it. Our prayers are with the entire family now and always as the grieving process continues. Love from Rev. And Lady Coleman and family.

Sincere condolences to Cleve and the rest of the Cole's family.Danny will always be remembered for his caring ways while we were school mates at the Ginger Ridge All-Age School. He had no fear in defending younger students from others who were bullying them.He was my protector at various times throughout my school years. He will also be remembered for his infectious laughter.I pray we will meet around the Throne of God.

Only a few adjectives to describe the friend you were.
God meticulously sculptured, carved and molded you so gracefully, and placed you in your circle.
You did a good job and we love you for it.
You left us beautiful memories
Your love is still our guide
Your face we'll no longer see
But in our hearts you'll always be
LOVE YOU FRIEND
SLEEP AND TAKE YOUR REST

A Friend Indeed!
A friend in need is a friend indeed as the saying goes.
Donald Cole, schoolmate of Juanita Douglas, was a learned man. He was an informed man. He was intellectually resourceful. He was politically aware. He was an astute student of History. He was well- spoken and he was civil. Because of those qualities, Juanita introduced Danny to Patricia, her friend and colleague in education. Patricia was seeking a friend with whom she could relate about current affairs, history and politics. And he became for her the friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Danny turned out to be the best phone friend in need as well as indeed for both women. It was a mutual relationship. Except when he was watching the news, helping his last child with her homework on the phone, or watching the occasional western movie, he was always available to hold meaningful conversations.
Both women were sometimes mesmerized by his vast retinue of stories which range from pre-independence Jamaica, his years in the Jamaica Defence Force, little - known facts in the social history of Jamaica, in international life and in his locale. His reflections were greatly missed when Queen Elizabeth died!
Juanita recalls Danny's caring ways towards her as a schoolmate. Caring enough to help her sew and do embroidery while the other boys went to the farm at Ginger Ridge All Age School. Caring enough to help her do geometric constructions in math classes. His attentive ways have left an indelible mark on Juanita's life.
Later in life, his ambitions took him along many pathways but the friendship never waned. Oh how well-organized he was, always punctual, helpful and willing to give an ear if not a hand. Like Jesus, his heart was touched by the feelings of others' infirmities. Just tell Danny about an unfortunate situation or someone in need of help and he was ready to contribute in order to ease the burden.
His brand of Christianity was a unique one. He loved the Seventh Day Adventist Church even when he didn't attend worship services regularly. He could expound on its doctrines at any time and had planned to help to teach Bible Class when he retires to Florida. His commitment to the Bible Year Encounter for many years, sometimes took priority over his morning exercises even at the expense of his health.
Patricia saw Danny only once. He took the time to attend her daughter's graduation in Maryland and offered to move her off the dorm. His precision, his dress, his whole demeanor was so impressive and representative of his military years. Patricia will forever be grateful for those memories of him.
And as it turned out Juanita broke the news to Patricia about Danny's illness and the outcome. The constant refrain between them was "He is gone with so much knowledge before we could capture any if it." It has been such a loss to mankind. His clear and precise memory was so unusual for his age. It is still unbelievable that that is lost.
Our friend sleeps but his memory lives on in our hearts.
Juanita and Patricia
