Edna Rubin

Obituary of Edna Bell Rubin

Peacefully sleeping and resting at last, your life's worry and trials are past. In silence you suffered, your troubles you bore, until God called your name to suffer no more. Edna Bell Rubin was born December 13, 1934, to the late Junious and Patty Johnson in Louisburg Norh Carolina. She fell asleep in death on August 15, after an abrupt accident. Before leaving North Carolina, she was educated in the public school system. In 1958 she moved to Baltimore and met the late Roger Rubin while working at the Oriole cafeteria. They eventually fell in love and got married on Halloween night, in 1959. She later started working in the housekeeping department of Union Memorial Hospital and she retired from them in 1996. In her leisure time she enjoyed listing to blues, looking at her favorite soap, Bold and the Beautiful and looking at those 70s tv shows such as the Jefferson, Sanford & Son, Threes company, What's happening and Good times that always kept her laughing. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons Shabazz Rubin and Neubuchadrezzar Rubin of Baltimore, Md and four grandchildren Shabazz Rubin Jr, Brionna Rubin, Salih Rubin and Kobe Rubin and four siblings Sylvia Somerville of York Pa, Eugene Johnson of Philadelphia Pa, George Johnson of Boydton VA and Junious Johnson of Snow Hill, NC. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
