Obituary of Leslyn Suzanne Semple Thomas

Leslyn Suzanne Semple Thomas was born in Georgetown, Guyana on May 28, 1980. She was the 10th and last child of John (late) and Clover (Kathleen) Semple of Mahaicony, Guyana, South America. Leslyn transitioned on Monday, August 22, 2022, at her home in Nottingham, MD, USA. After graduating from Mahaicony Secondary School, Guyana, Leslyn completed Advanced level studies at the President's College, one of Guyana's premiere high schools then later graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Guyana. Leslyn migrated to the Turks & Caicos Islands and taught Computer Science and Mathematics at the New Age Academy and later was an Accountant with the Hartling Group of Companies in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Leslyn was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Kalyn Thomas Sr. and the couple was blessed with one son, Kalyn Thomas Jr. (KJ). At the time of her passing, Leslyn was an Accountant at the Maryland School for the Blind and was pursuing studies at the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). Leslyn was preceded in death by her husband, Kalyn Thomas Sr. She is survived by her son Kalyn Thomas Jr. (KJ), her mother Clover (Kathleen) Semple, siblings Selwyn Semple, Sherlyn Toney, Hugh Semple, Camille Roberts, Rhonda Springle, Audrey Semple-Elliott, Conrad Semple, Kenrick Semple and Loranie Marcia White, mother-in-law Veronica Thomas, brothers-in-law Glendon Toney, Levi Rose, Vibert Elliott, Paul Thomas, Andrew Thomas, Dainer Lightbourne, sisters-in-law Bibi Rafila Nezam, Penelope Semple, Casey Semple, Candace Semple, Yvonne Thomas, Carla Thomas, Karen Lightbourne, Shalawn Delancy, Sandy, Janet, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family-in-law, god-children, and friends too numerous to mention. She was well loved and will be deeply missed. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the Vaughn Greene Randallstown Chapel, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD where the family will receive friends from 11:00AM -12:00PM with services to follow.
