Obituary of Josseline DeLatour

Ms. Josseline Jean-Lord DeLatour was born on August 13, 1947, in Gonaives, Haiti. Josseline was preceded in death by her mother Anne Lucie Polynice nee Moise, her father Ecclesiaste Jean-Lord, her stepfather Rudolph Thomas Polynice, her uncles Carlo Moise, Renand (Romaine) Moise, her brother Jean-Robert Jean-Lord Sr., her sister in-law Mireille Jean-Lord, her brother in-law Guy Denis, and her nephew Reginald Jean-Lord. She is survived by her beloved children Rachel (Marc) Etienne, Michelle (Rahman) Corbett and Alexandra DeLatour; her cherished grandchildren Naomi, Nicholas and Nadia Etienne, Donovan and Gabrielle Corbett; her loving brothers Pierre Henri Jean-Lord, Gerald Jean-Lord, her devoted sisters Pierre Marie Jean-Lord and Myriam Denis; her nieces and nephews Jean-Robert Jean-Lord, Jr., Jessica nee Jean-Lord, Patrick, Michael, and Pierre Henri Jean-Lord, Jr., Jeffrey Audige, Bernard and Jason Denis, and Natalie Jean-Lord; her dear uncles and aunts Claude Moise, Gernone Frederique, Renelle Moise and the extended Moise and Frederique families; and a host of friends who have become family. Josseline lived a life guided by God as she moved to the United States and worked to establish her family in New York and Ohio. She was a dedicated educator who retired after decades as a paraeducator for children with disabilities. She was a devoted mother who took pride in raising her three daughters from her marriage with Guy DeLatour. Her joy was doting on her five grandchildren, and she enjoyed a peaceful life in Maryland until she went to the Lord. On Monday, June 27, 2022, a homegoing service for Ms. DeLatour will be held at the Church of the Resurrection, 3175 Paulskirk Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21042, where the family will recieve friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a funeral mass to follow In lieu of flowers please donate to the Easeterseals Black Child Fund https://www.easterseals.com/ways-to-give/black-child-fund.html
