Obituary of Johnny Dwaine Richardson

Mr. Johnny Dwaine Richardson, of Severn, MD, transitioned on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022, in Perry Point, MD. Mr. Richardson was born on October 8, 1948, in Mansfield, LA to his loving parents King David Richardson and Pearlie B. Keys Richardson. With his parents and five siblings preceding him in death, Johnny is survived by sisters Velma Boyd (Line Lexington, PA) and Jewelline Brown (Houston, TX), and a host of nieces and nephews across the country. Upon completion of high school in 1967, Johnny joined the military, serving his country in both the Navy and Army with assignments in Vietnam, Panama, Korea, and Japan. While in the military he honed his skills as a field wireman, cargo specialist, tele-communications expert and medal winning Sharpshooter. Known by the nickname "Stryker," Mr. Richardson was honorably discharged and retired from the military in February 2004 after an illustrious 37-year career. Master Sergeant Johnny D. Richardson will be honored with a committal and graveside service at the Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills, MD on Friday, April 22 at 11:30am.
