Obituary of Rodney Smith

Rodney Lamar Smith was born on June 3, 1965, in Baltimore, MD to the proud parents of Mary Agnes Mitchell and the late Rodney Lee Smith. Rodney received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. After his education, Rodney learned several skills and worked in bricklaying. He then worked for the Baltimore City Department of Sanitation and received his CDL license to further his career within the Department. He worked with the Department of Sanitation for nealy 30 years. Rodney also owned and operated Smitty-go-uhaul, a hauling business and he also held part time jobs at the Ronald McDonald House and Giant Foods. He was truly a hard-working man who provided for his family. Rodney departed this life on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, in Towson, MD. He will be missed by his family and friends. A viewing will be held Monday, February 14, 2022, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, from 3:30 - 6:30 PM. The celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in the chapel at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services. The wake will begin at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow the services in Parkwood Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
