I extend my sincerest, heart-felt condolences to my former colleague and friend Mrs. Ruth McKnight Antoine and her family on the passing of her husband, Royal Chester Antoine, Sr. Through Ruth, Royal was a treasured member of our extended family at Morgan State University, and we know how much she and her family will miss him, since we will miss him as well. I offer to the family a little bit to comfort in knowing that the presence of his absence does not mean the absence of his presence in your lives and in ours. He will remain us forever as we celebrate the fine example that he was and the legacy that he leaves to inspire and guide us. May he rest in peace, and may the family be reassured that they are in our thoughts and prayers.
