First and foremost I want to give my sincere condolences to the family.
Vanetta was my lifelong friend. We had been friends since the 7th grade. She was my rock and anchor. She was always there for me and I for her. Her home on Milton Avenue was my second home. Van and I went through a lot together. As we got older and had the responsibility of children and grandchildren we didn’t talk as much as we both would have liked to. Then with me moving out of state only made it more difficult for us to see each other. Even when we lost contact for long periods of time, when we spoke it was like we hadn’t missed a beat! Vanetta will always be part of who I am and will always hold a special place in my heart. I will truly miss my friend.
