Obituary of Ruth Irene Smart

Ruth Irene Smart, age 103, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 29, 2021. A lifelong resident of Baltimore, MD, Mrs. Smart was born on August 18, 1918, to Lillian and Virgil Imes, Sr. Mrs. Smart had been employed as a supervisor for the Federal Government at the Army Publications Center. Mrs. Smart was a great woman of faith. She will be missed by her family and friends. A viewing will be held Friday, December 10, 2021, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. The homegoing celebration will take place 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 11, 2021, at United Church of Jesus Christ, 928 Gorsuch Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21218. The wake will begin at 10:00 AM. The burial will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, Maryland at the convenience of the family.
