Obituary of William Bernard Sharp

William Bernard Sharp, son of Minnie L. Webb and the late William B. Sharp Sr., was born on April 19, 1962 in Baltimore City, Maryland. Bill departed this life on November 16, 2021, after a long illness. He was a loving son, a devoted husband, a loving father and protector of his family. Bill, at a very young age, accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and was baptized at Highway to Heaven Baptist Church. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system, attended Carver Vocation –Technical High School, served in the Army Reserve and was employed as a supervisor at Fila USA. He was a craftsman who loved cars, watches, and being with his family. He also loved "Cars, Trains and Watches they were so dear to his heart". Bill met and married the love of his life, Deitra Fontella Rosada Fonseca, and of a 39-year relationship (34 years of marriage) was blessed by this union with two loving sons, Antonio Bernard Sharp and Antoine Lee Frederick Sharp. Bill leaves to celebrate his legacy: his loving wife, Deitra Fontella Sharp; his sons, Antonio, Antoine, Damien Shawne and Bill Sharp; his Mother Minnie Webb; his five grandchildren – Sydney, Lauren, Damien Jr., Kolin, and Daniel; his aunts, Clara Rosenberg and Cynthia "Sissy" Banks; his uncle Elick Scruggs; his brother Sonny Horton and sisters Elaine Fontella Squire, Francine Curbeam, Lethia Sharp and Wanda McClain (William); his brothers in-law Shi'el "Slick" Epps and Toney Ladson; his sister in-law Denise Walker; his cherished nieces and nephew Alicya, Natasha, Cheri and Valdez; his loving godson, Cameron; Godmother, Lillian Batson; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and a multitude of friends. Bill is preceded in death by: his father, William B. Sharp Sr.; his siblings, Brenda Ladson and Kelvin Sharp, Evelyn Fonseca, Issac Webb, and Sonny Horton, Sr. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. A celebration of his life will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, November 22, 2021, in the chapel at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212. The wake will begin at 10:00 AM. The burial will follow the services in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Baltimore, MD.
