I will miss you. I remember when I was a little kid, you were like a giant to me. You would come over , toss me in the air , throw me over your shoulders and then hand me some money. I get goosebumps thinking on how no matter the situation, you still made sure Myself and everyone else was ok. There aren’t enough words in the world to express how much you were loved and will be missed. Thank you for running this race of life with us. You made so much possible for us and are a huge reason we were able to care for mom. I was not expecting that to be our last day but am ever grateful for those hours with you. You were the best uncle and big bro and there’s no replacing you. Thanks for loving us and standing with us all these years. We love you forever and will see you again!

My sincere condolences to Robert’s family and friends. I was the recipient of ‘Robert’s’ wisdom and goodwill. While visiting his niece, Shyvetta, as I’d near him standing on the sidewalk he’d say “Hello, Toyia, it’s a beautiful day.” As the dogs greeted each other and played, we’d chat. 30 minutes later, I’d say my goodbyes and start walking away and Robert would bring up another interesting point and the conversation would continue. If my husband saw us on his way home, he’d wave, knowing it’s going to be a while. It seemed that he NEVER had a bad day, optimism always ruled the day! One can only smile when thinking about him and his legacy of optimism and faith.
