Obituary of Gertrude Pope Henderson

Gertrude Pope Henderson, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 3, 2021. Mrs. Henderson was born in Rocky Mount, NC on March 4, 1935, to Reeva and Ulysses Pope. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Henderson was employed as a cook for the Baltimore City Public Schools. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, from 3:30 -6:30 PM. Homegoing celebration will be held 10:30, Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Ark Church, 1263 E. North Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21202. The wake will begin at 10:00 AM. The burial will follow the services in King Memorial Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
