Joseph Louis Bell, Jr.

Born to loving parents, the late Joseph L. Bell Sr. and Margaret E. Bell, August 27, 1954 in Baltimore, Md. " Joe" affectionately referred to by family and friends, was called home to be with his heavenly Father and loved ones on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in York, PA; transitioned after a lengthy battle, with a terminal illness.

Joe had an infectious and contagious smile that would brighten any room. He had a Gentleman's charm, was very charismatic, caring and very engaging. He was also affectionately known as an astute conversationalist; he discussed many subjects, talking about any and everything. He loved to sing and read; there was no subject that he would shy away from; History and current events piqued his curiosity and desires immensely. Those were his passions.

Joe loved all sports, but a great boxing match stirred excitement in him. The Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens, were by far, his most favorite teams to watch. He dedicated several years to Military and Commercial Fasteners, where he recently retired as a machine operator. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife , Mrs. Arey Ford-Bell and sister, Ms. Darlene Bell. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Joseph L. Bell III and Sabrina Y. Bell. Six Grandchildren, and One Great Grandchild. Two Sisters, Mrs. Margaret Domneys and Ms. Karen Bell. Three Brothers, Mr. John Moore Jr, Mr. George Moore and Mr. Anthony Bell, One God-Brother, Mr. Sylvester McCoy,numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of beautiful friends.

A beloved song that Joe used to sing was "Keep Your Head to the Sky", by Earth, Wind and Fire. It is fitting that we all do the same. The Family will host a Memorial Service at Druid Hill Park (Parkie East Grove near the tennis court) on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 3:00 p.m
