Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Jackson

Margaret Elizabeth Jackson was born in Annapolis, Maryland on September 12, 1935, to the late John Kent and late Margret Kent. She was adopted in her early childhood to the late Rev. James A. Turner and late Alice E. Turner-Boston. Margaret (Peggy) gained her wings early morning on August 12, 2021. Peggy completed her education through the Baltimore County Public School System. She graduated from Carver High School in Towson, Maryland. Peggy accepted her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age at Simons Memorial Baptist Church. She later married James L. Jackson of Overlea, Maryland where they together joined Emanuel Baptist Church. Through their union they shared five beautiful children. Peggy spent over 40 years as an usher at Emanuel Baptist Church and was one of their former usher presidents. Peggy had an extensive career history in the health care field. She spent much of her career as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital. With her dedication to the health care field, after retirement, she worked as a private care nurse within the Baltimore County area. Peggy loved to entertain with family and friends by her side. She had the type of home where you didn't have to call first, everyone was always welcomed to stop by. She was known for her love of crabs and taught the younger generation just how to pick them. She often spent her free time reading books and completing crossword puzzles. Peggy loved to travel. She earned the nickname "Road-Runner" because she was always on the go. She occasionally traveled to Las Vegas to visit her sister. Since the late 70's she frequently traveled to New Orleans to visit family and to enjoy Mardi Gras.
