Obituary of Carlton Lee Leverette, Sr.

Carlton L. Leverette, Sr., age 84, the beloved husband of Carolyn E. Leverette, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Mr. Leverette was an African American Artist, Sculpturist, Ceramicist, and Educator. He was the oldest of six children born to Minnie and Roger Leverette. He was born on December 24, 1936 in Greenwood, South Carolina. At the age of twelve, his parents relocated from Greenwood to Baltimore. He graduated with honors from the Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 1955. After enlisting in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1962 and began employment with the United States Postal Service. A viewing will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212. from 3:30 - 6:30 PM. The celebration of life will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Huber Community Life Center, 5700 Loch Raven Boulevard, Baltimore, MD 21239. The wake will begin at 10:00 AM. The burial will be in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Baltimore, MD
