Obituary of David Edward Ogletree

Mr. David Edward "Tree" Ogletree, age 62, of Jessup, transitioned Monday, July 12, 2021 in Maryland. Mr. Ogletree was born December 1, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan and attended the public schools there. He attended the renowned HBCU Tuskegee University where he received a degree in Communications Arts. After graduating from college, he was employed by the Department of Defense for 39 years where he made many friends and lasting relationships. Tree was an avid sports player and fan, basketball and football, who was inducted into the Tuskegee University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017. He was saved, and a true man of God who was a member of Set the Captives Free Outreach Center and the Minister of Music for the Senior Choir. David was a talented singer and piano player that used his talent to always praise God, especially during his Monday Night Inspirations fellowship on Facebook. He was a great friend/brother to many and was there when you needed him. Tree will be missed by all. He fought a good fight over the last year, but God loved him best and it is comforting to know that he is now in heaven with Jesus. #TeamTree The public viewing will be Monday, August 2, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD (21133). The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Ogletree will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in the Chapel of Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD (21133), where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with services to follow. The interment will take place at Arbutus Memorial Park Tuesday, August 3, 2021 immediately following services.
