It was with great sadness that we learned of Mr. Curly's passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. I am honored and blessed to have known him during my years here at Kirkwood House. Although, grossly misunderstood at times, he was truly a helpful resident to me throughout the years and did not hesitate to volunteer his time, strength and his whit. Someone so special cannot be forgotten.

Billy Bob is one of my most favorite people in the whole wide world! He is family. I have known him for 63 years and he has always been the kindest and most helpful person I have ever met. Billy took pride in being a devout man of God. He fought the good fight and finished his course. I know Billy Bob used his E-Z Pass and slid right through the Pearly Gates just as he would smoothly glide across a dance floor. Billy is a people person who has a gift for talking so I know he is meeting and greeting many folks as he walks the streets of gold. I will always thank God for making Billy Bob a big part of my life. It's a privilege to know him and a greater privilege to love him. So, Billy Bob, you rest well. So long for now and one day I'll see you on the other side! Love ya, Pooh

Uncle Billy Bob thank you for being a real man, a man of GOD, my teammate for yard work, our requested guest for family events & dinners, always asking about everyone, talking nonstop, being our James Brown, and always looking like you had been to the mall & market when leaving the family events & dinners. We love you always and can picture you dancing all over heaven!! Cheryl Haynie

Thank you uncle Billy for all that you did for us. You were a father, helper and friend to all the Scruggs children and the Brentwood Avenue children. We all carry fond memories of you and will cherish them forever,
