Obituary of Melvin Lee Taft

Melvin Lee Taft, age 72, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 12, 2021, in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC. Mr. Taft was born to Evelyn and Burnice Taft on May 6, 1948. A Native of North Carolina, Mr. Taft made his home in Baltimore, MD. He had been employed at Bethlehem Steel. He was honorably discharged from US Marine Corp after earning various medals, most notably the Purple Heart. A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, May 7, 2021, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East Chapel, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212. The wake will begin at 10:30 AM. The interment will take place in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
