I was so sorry to read of the passing of Mr. Herman Johnson. My sister, Mary Ann Winterling, was the principal of Bentalou Elementary for over thirty years until her death in 2009. During her many years there, Mary Ann spoke so highly of Mr. Johnson. He helped her in so many ways, and she valued his friendship and cooperation. " We couldn't get through many days if Mr. Johnson wasn't working with us," I remember Mary Ann saying. I send my deepest sympathy to his family and friends, and pray that he rests in peace.
