Obituary of Kinnard Woodrum

Kinnard Woodrum, was born on August 9, 1970, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Lillian Goode and Purcell Woodrum. Kenny/Woody, as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, was the youngest of all his siblings. Kinnard attended Baltimore Public Schools where he graduated from Dunbar High School. After high school, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 2007, during his career as Eastpoint Mall Security Officer/Director for 26 years, he met the love of his life Jaleesa Morgan. On October 15, 2010, they were united in marriage and to this union their beloved daughter Jaliyah was born. Kinnard enjoyed spending time with family, watching Steeler Nation, cooking and baking as The Bearded Baker. He was also the family comedian and because of his love for music he often served as the family DJ. He was truly the life of the party. On Saturday, March 27, 2021 he tragically departed this life after a sudden and short battle with Covid-19. Kinnard will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his sisters Aretha Woodrum, Diane Johnson and brother Purcell D. Woodrum. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Jaleesa Woodrum; four daughters, Jaliyah and Jasmine Woodrum, Shaneka and Ry'Shanik Chishlom; his sisters, Juanita Ouzts (Eddie), Rosalind Hurdle (George), Simone Coulter (Matthew), Michelle Sewell, Yvette and Gregory Woodrum, Karen, Sheldon, Robin Johnson and Darlene Tatum; Kinnard also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A viewing will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Vaughn Greene Funeral Services - East, 4905 York Road, Baltimore, MD 21212, from 3:30 - 6:30 PM. A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in Vaughn Greene Funeral Services East Chapel. The wake will begin at 10:30 AM. The burial will be in Parkwood Cemetery following the services.
