Obituary Mark Antoine Cabrol, age 61, left this earth peacefully on February 15th, 2021. Mark was born on August 15th, 1959, to the late Paulette and Antoine Cabrol in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He was proud of his heritage and enjoyed telling stories about the family brownstone at 229 Lincoln Road. An avid sports fan, Mark's house was always known as the Eagles' Nest. He was an Eagles fanatic. You could always find him on a Sunday decked out in his Eagles gear, rooting for his team (except when he wasn't happy with them). Mark was affectionately known as "Hustle Man" for always having Eagles merchandise available for purchase. Mark was a hard worker who loved his family. As a young man in NY, he worked at Steinway and Sons. He moved to NJ in 1989 and worked at Resorts Casino for a period of time. It was here that he met the love of his life, Carolyn, with whom he married and started a family. He worked at Vermes Machine shop for many years before the family decided to move to Maryland to be close to their first grandchild. Once in Maryland, Mark worked for Howard County General Hospital, IDX Corporation, and Westrock of Baltimore. Mark was truly a family man. He talked to his sisters across the miles on a regular basis, often just to ask what was for dinner. He would visit his son, Kyle, in his home office frequently to check out his latest project. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, he would call his daughter, Dicy, on a regular basis to ask, "Do you need anything?" even though he knew he was too sick to actually oblige. He especially loved attending the annual Lefferts Park Reunion in Brooklyn so that he could catch up with his buddies. On a Saturday morning, you could always find Mark cleaning his truck and making it nice and shiny. He and his wife Carolyn both shared a love for cars that passed down to both Kyle and Dicy. Whenever you needed a good laugh, Mark was there. Everyone in his life has their own personal memories of the jokes he told. He was the kind of man that would light up any and every room he walked in. Everyone loved him and he loved everyone, he was one of a kind. Mark leaves to mourn his loving wife of 28 years Carolyn, his son Kyle, his daughter Dicy Painter, son-in-law Kevin and grandchild Josh. He is predeceased by his grandparents Prudence Thezan, Gedeon and Andreana Cabrol, sister Ketly Sainton (Reynold), and niece Natasha Sainton; mourned by his siblings Carline Theodore (Robert), Paulina Cameron (Rodney), Lodz Duplan (Marc), Wanda McKenzie, and Steve Cabrol; sisters-in-law Etta Bennett, Emma Weeks, and Marie Miller (Tony). He had special relationships with his predeceased brothers-in-law, Edward Bennett, Edward Weeks, and William Butler, and sister-in-law, Louise Butler. He will be sorely missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. You all know what you meant to him.
