Obituary of Raymond William Makle Jr.

Raymond William Makle, Jr. (Ray) was born on April 30, 1952, in Montgomery General Hospital, in Olney, Maryland, to Raymond William Makle, Sr. and Laura Virginia Dorsey-Makle. Both of his parents and his younger brother, Melvin, preceded him in death. Ray departed this life on January 28, 2021, at University of Maryland Hartford Memorial Hospital in Havre De Grace, Maryland, from Cardiac Arrest. Ray was educated in the Howard County Public School System; he attended Howard Votech where he majored in Industrial Arts/Shop. Ray graduated from Howard High School in 1970. Ray could be seen with a warm, friendly smile and was always enthusiastic to see Family and Friends. Ray enjoyed watching Football, Wrestling, and Baseball; Eating and ordering out at restaurants; and mainly traveling with his buddy, Keith Jordan. Although, he enjoyed eating out, he preferred home cook meals prepared by his Parents and his Sister; in other words, Ray Loved to Eat! Ray communicated with his sister, Sae, on a daily basis as well as his Nieces and Nephew. He also enjoyed Family Gatherings and spending time with his Great-Nephew and Great-Nieces. Ray leaves to cherish his memory: His Sister, Gloria Harriston (Sae); Nephew, Travis Harriston (Bonita); Nieces, June Makle and Olivia Sturdivant (Johnny); Great-Nephew, Seven Sturdivant; Great-Nieces, Rasheda Hammond; Jordyn and Harper Harriston; Uncles, Louis Makle (Lillian) and Joseph Makle; Aunts, Shirley Dorsey, Mary and Marlene Makle; and a host of Cousins and Friends. Also, a "Special Friend", Keith Jordan, who was always by his side when he needed a Friend and help with Life Challenges! Thanks for being a True Friend until the end! We will always be Grateful for You. On Wednesday, March 3, 2021, Services for, Mr. Makle will be held 12:30 pm at Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, Baltimore, MD with the family receiving friends at 12:00pm. The interment will take place at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens , Marriottsville, MD following services.
