Mrs. Evelyn McIntosh befriended my mother who was also an "Evelyn" some 70 years ago in Savannah, Georgia. One meaning of 'Evelyn' is life. And she certainly was full of life. She was versatile...an educator, dreamer who acted on her dreams, fashionable, and a business woman. Mrs. Mac loved to travel, and didn't let anything keep her down. To her family, try not to weep too much for she is cuttin' a rug with Mr. Mac, and cuttin' up with Evelyn L. May the peace that passes all understanding be with you.

My heart breaks at the passing of my long time friend from 1st grade at St. Benedicts' School in Savannah. I have enjoyed our times in school as well as my times visiting with you in the D.C. area .Rest well my friend and may your family find peace in knowing that yours was a life well lived. .Doris, Louise and I talked about a reunion which will now be on that heavenly shore, since we could not get together in Savannah or Atlanta.
