Obituary of Carol Vynetta Fenner

Ms. Carol Vynetta Fenner, age 78, of Owings Mills, transitioned Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Baltimore, MD. Ms. Fenner was born September 1, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York. She was a Nurse. The public viewing will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD (21133). The Homegoing Celebration will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Vaughn C. Greene Funeral Services, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown, MD (21133), where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with services to follow. The interment will take place at King Memorial Park in Windsor Mill on Friday, February 5, 2021 immediately following services. OBITUARY Carol V. Fenner, 78, of Owings Mills, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Carol was born in Brooklyn, New York to John Blakely and Bessie Blakely nee Harris. She had a flair for fashion and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology School. In February 1972, she received her nursing license which lead to a 30 plus year career nurturing and caring for the sick. Carol eventually became a nurse specializing in elder care. Carol lived on Long Island, New Year until she moved to St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands. In St. Croix she worked as a contract nurse before joining the staff of the Juan F. Luis Hospital. After retiring, she spent her time traveling between her children and grandchildren before settling in Maryland, where she lived with her daughter Autumn Fenner. Carol was affectionately known as Sis, Ma, Momy, Granny, Granma, Auntie C., Aunt Carol, Mrs. Fenner, Carol, Red and "Thelma" to her sister Trudy's "Louise"! She loved deeply, protectively, and fully. Carol was lively, charismatic, optimistic, and energetic. She loved to dance, travel, try new foods and was fearless – she got her first tattoo in her sixties! Carol was also an avid reader, lover of music, and television. Carol's greatest accomplishment was her family, for whom her love knew no bounds. She is survived by her daughters April Fenner, Autumn Fenner and Alison Sinclair and son-in-law Peter Sinclair, and son Timothy Fenner and his partner Angela Hines, and sister Trudy Green. In-laws- Carl Green, Ronald Johnson, Rita Moore, and Tyrone Fenner. Special sons and daughters Clarence Gilreath, Bruce Hardy, Lynette Priester, Ann Morgan, and Ronnie Young. Carol was grandmother to Hassan, Asjah, Amber, Ashanti, Jahleel, Alajah, Assani, Joshua, and Elias. She was great-grandmother to Kaiden, Kandace, Amari, Aubrey, and Amaya whom they called "Nana". She is also survived by her aunts-Helen Fields and Ann Harris, nieces- Paige Green, Danielle Green-O'Reilly, Rabiah George, Kardia Green, nephews- Rahim Green, Luqman Green, Talut Green, & Khalim Green, and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins aplenty. She also leaves behind lifelong and special friends Grace Garrison, Rozie Hill, P.A.T. Pat Griffith, Ruby Debnam, and Liston Georges. Carol was preceded in death by her parents John and Bessie Blakely, sister Patricia Johnson, ex-husband Timothy Fenner, grandchildren Chanel Wilson and Jorden Warren.
