She was Aunt Kandi to several nieces and nephews. She is remembered fondly by many neighborhood children on Clarendon Avenue who would spend their free time on the front porch of "218" and thought of Kandi as a mother figure. Kandi worked as a child care provider for Baltimore County Parks and Recreation for many years. Each one of the children in her care was treated with the same love and thoughtfulness she showed her own family. Kandi had a big heart. She loved caring for others. She had a kind, thoughtful spirit and treated everyone like family. She loved vacationing in Deep Creek Lake with her children and grandchildren, attending Winter Fest of Lights in Ocean City, camping, and playing cards with her grandkids, (Uno and Phase ten). She loved to make jokes and agitate those she loved. She always had an inside joke with her grandchildren, like "Nine" and "Sunflower". She loved the Baltimore Ravens, ladybugs and her dog, Misty, who is jokingly referred to as her favorite child. Kandi's love and laughter will be greatly missed by many, especially her devoted family.
