Obituary of Leona Madeline Madison

Leona (Weedy) Madeline Madison beloved daughter of the late Ralph and Doris Madison; was born on February 19, 1957. She peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, just a few hours after being surrounded by her loving family. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System graduating from Lake Clifton High School. Leona, was affectionately called Weedy by her family and friends. She was loving, cheerful, dedicated, kindhearted and devoted to her family and friends. Weedy accepted Jesus Christ at an early age as her personal Savior and was baptized at Union Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching sports, dancing, playing her lottery and going to the casino. Weedy started her working career as a Bank Teller, at numerous banks in Baltimore, Maryland. She was also a cashier at several grocery stores. She had an affectious smile that lit up her work place. She knew her customers by name and was very pleasant to each and every one that entered the bank. She truly enjoyed serving others and gave nothing but her best. Weedy was preceded in death by her brother, James Townes (Linda) and sister Dorothea (Cookie) Madison-Gamble,(Anthony). She leaves to cherish her memory; siblings, Brenda, Sheila (Andre), Nadine (Tony), Vernita (Roy), Renee (Keith), Ralphine (Troy) and a loving aunt Regina Williams. Seven nieces, two nephews, two great nephews, godson Jemere (Juice) Sims and a host of other relatives and friends. Deborah, a very special friend was devoted to Weedy and the family thanks her.
