Obituary of Oscar Walter Ferguson

Oscar Walter Ferguson, son of the late Oscar William and Carolyn Ferguson was born on October 1, 1939 in Baltimore, MD. He unexpectedly departed this life on December 8, 2020, with his loving wife, Vivian, by his side in their home. Oscar, affectionately known as Fergie, was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system graduating from Carver Vocational School. He joined the United States Air Force in 1960 where he proudly served for four and half years. In 1966, Oscar began his career as a truck driver, working for several companies. After 38 years, Oscar retired from Gunther Transport in 2004. During this time, he was an active member of the Teamsters Local 557 and the National Black Caucus.
