My heart goes out to the family. I had the complete pleasure of spending a year with Melanie's oldest child. What a wonderful experience! My heart is very very sad that I didn't know sooner to pass on my prayers to all. I know how much she loved being a mom and counselor. Rest in peace.

My heart is so very sad. I was the counselor at Woodbridge Elementary School when Melanie was a student there. When she grew to adulthood and informed me that she was getting a degree in School Counseling, I was so thrilled and proud. I was able to chat with her at some of the counselor meetings and checked into her Facebook page from time to time. It was so heartwarming to see pictures of her with her beautiful children. When the shutdown began she commented that she loved being at home with them and augmenting their virtual lessons with some creative activities. Her passing is a loss to her family, friends, and to all those whose lives she touched as well as to those who will never have a chance to know her. Gods blessings be upon her husband and children who shared her with so many others. May she rest in peace.
