I was so sad to hear of Ms. Jackson's death. Growing up on Nelson Avenue provided my siblings an opportunity to learn just what good neighbors were; Ms. Jackson was one of them. She was loved by the Gladden family. She took interest in your dreams and expected you to achieve them and always encouraged us to be the best in whatever we desired to do. Her presence was strong and she demonstrated what class and grace looked like. Her smile would light up a room and we shared many conversations and laughter. I am keeping the Jackson family in prayer and may you find comfort knowing your mother was loved by many.

I am saddened to hear of Mrs Jackson’s passing. If the conditions of Covid didn’t exist I would’ve traveled home from Chicago for her service. She was a beloved neighbor & friend that my family treasured as family, too.
May wonderful memories provide peace and joy to her sons and those who loved her. I’m so grateful for the lengthy conversation we had last year that contained immense laughter. RIP Queen. ❤️

I am in a state of disbelief after learning today of my friend's (Herline O, Jackson) death. It hurts. She was a dear friend and neighbor for many years. It's ironic but we didn't meet until we were in our 30's and learned that we shared the same maiden name. but determined we were not related. We've traveled and shared so much over the years. Since my retirement she spent a few days with me in my home in South Carolina and many late night conversations via telephone. We shared our love of family and flowers - I have many perennials growing in flower beds that she gave me as seedlings 20 years ago. To her three sons, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and extended family, I grieve with you. Please stay in touch. God bless. Iris S Brunson Gladden

Mrs Jackson was a beautiful woman, neighbor and friend to our family (Gladden). She was very supportive of us and she was very proud and supportive of my college education. She attended my undergraduate college graduation at Rider University in New Jersey and I still have the picture with our family. She really supported education and always had positive encouragement of our family growth. Bless her family and am praying for you all. She loved her sons and family and pray you will smile as you remember her joy. Prayers continually, Dr. Deborah Gladden Haskins

Oh no! I was notified of her passing today. Herline was a stellar professional in her career at the USPS. I will miss our post retirement conversations we engaged in throughout the years. Heartfelt condolences to Rodney, Michael and extended family. Praying God will sustain, comfort and bring you peace during this difficult time.
