I meet Mr. Rawlings at SDC and enjoy my interaction with him. He loved his work at SDC and loved his family. He will truly be missed.

I am so sorry to find out about the passing of Gilbert. I met him and his deceased wife Marti in 1975 at Denison University in Granville Oh. I was a student and his wife was the Assistant Dean of Students. They invited me to their home. They provided the support that I needed. I never got a chance to say thank you for caring about me. They are forever in my heart. Love and blessed memories. Pearlean

I grew up in the Edgar Allen Poe Homes with Gilbert and the Rawlings family. I have very fond memoires of the good times and fun we had as kids. We quite often met at the many occasions and Poe Home reunions, celebrating life and friendships. My sincere condolences and prayers to the Rawlings" family.

To the Rawlings family from Bernard Nelson, Sr.:
Gilbert was my best friend as we grew up together. That friendship continued, even while we were in the Army. He even visited me in Berlin, Germany, where I was stationed and stayed at my apartment. As a matter of fact, he met my wife, before any member of my family did. I have alot of fond memories of Gilbert and he will be sorely missed. Please accept my sincere condolences and prayers.

With heartfelt sympathy, I am remembering Brother Gil Rawlings, a man whose steps were ordered by the Lord. A man who was a dedicated worker, who always did what was best for others, when sometimes forsaking himself. A man who loved his family, and had a love for his wife, Deborah, like none other. My prayer is that God will continue to comfort you and give you peace and comfort today and days yet to come. Rev. Dr. Sandra Conner
