Dearest Mother and Friend, when I look at pictures, I see that I am you and you are me. I miss you and think of you everyday. I loved our outings. Your advice and wisdom I keep close and I can hear your advice and I apply it to my everyday life. You are besides God the one person that knew me better than anyone. The one person I could tell everything to and not be judged. You were open minded, wisdom way beyond your years. I never got to tell you how proud I was of you, you always said that to me, but it is me who is proud and honored to be your daughter. I thank God for giving me a beautiful mother both inside and outside who nurtured me to be the person I am today. Yesterday was two years. While I visited your resting place, I thought about all the wonderful things we did together. I listened to a song named "The Garden", it is a song for this sad occasion. The lyrics went like this... If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, we'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again...

Ms. Cody was no ordinary lady to me. The Cody family is an extension of my family. There were times that she corrected me that I may not have liked, but I knew it was because she cared. On top of the fact that I didn’t want her telling my grandparents.
My most vivid memory is when my grandson would walk back across the street. The other was when she stood by me when I joined New Psalmist.
